Prasat Preah Vihear, in northern Cambodia, has been on my ‘want-to-see’ list for about seven years. It’s a UN World Heritage Site, an ancient Khmer temple perched on a cliff. Now the Thai Army, in the course of a pointless border dispute with Cambodia, has managed to blow part of it up. A wing of the 11th-century temple has collapsed following a Thai artillery bombardment.
Nice work, assholes.
